March 26: REDDAM RACING LLC’s sophomore runner LOW EXPECTATIONS (’20 g. Nyquist / Eloquent Tribute) is out-performing his name having run second in Sunday’s Sunland Park Derby (G3). Coming into the race off of two consecutive wins, the ANTONIO GARCIA trainee took a big step up in class from starter-optional claiming company on March 3rd to Sunday’s Grade 3 contest. The chestnut gelding rose to the occasion to finish a length & a quarter behind the winner & earn his first career black type.

March 25: KEVIN STEDMAN’S Louisiana-bred colt LATE SEPTEMBER (’20 c. Munnings / Hello Maggie May) added another stakes placing to his name on Friday when finishing second in the Crescent City Derby at Fair Grounds. Purchased by his owner out of last summer’s Fasig-Tipton Horses of Racing Age Sale for $60,000 the bay colt is now a multiple stakes winner of over $190,000. He is trained by conditioner JOSE M. CAMEJO.

March 25: Making her third career start, Irish-bred JUST A CARE (’20 f. Australia(GB) / Greater Good(AUS) added black-type to her name Friday in Gulfstream Park’s Melody of Colors Stakes. The bay filly overcame a crowded start to charge down the stretch and finish just a length and a quarter behind the winner. She earned an Equibase speed figure of 90 for her second place effort.
Purchased by BO BROMAGEN Agent, at the 2022 Fasig-Tipton July Sale of Horses of Racing Age for $150,000, JUST A CARE(IRE) races for the partnership of ASHBROOK FARM, MATTHEW O’CONNOR, UPLAND FLATS RACING & AMY DUNNE. She is trained by GEORGE A. ARNOLD II.

March 25: KLASSY BRIDGETTE (’20 f. Army Mule / Klassy Katlyn) added more black type to her resume on Saturday finishing third in the $150,000 Purple Martin Stakes at Oaklawn Park. Trained by BRAD COX, the filly races for JD THOROUGHBREDS LLC, JOEY KEITH DAVIS & LARRY J. ROMERO. Never off the board, the stakes winner has now amassed earnings of $276,900.

March 25: SANDIN SYNDICATE RACING LLC’s three-year-old ASMODEUS (’20 c. Cairo Prince / Spanish Post) got his first career win on Saturday at Aqueduct when he defeated nine other foes in a maiden special weight contest. Sent off as favorite, ASMODEUS was making just his third lifetime start.
Purchased by Sandin Syndicate Stable for $115,000 out of last years OBS March Sale, the WILLIAM MORLEY trainee now has a record of 3-1-1-0 with earnings of $64,800.
